Hey everyone,
With the beginning of a fourth year of my writing on Substack coming up in February, I’m looking to find ways to improve. I haven’t been one to do things like surveys, but I’d love to get more details about what I can do to encourage people to engage more. Something I may even do is take the words someone says in a response, minus their name if they don’t want to be identified, post it as a poll and ask people to vote on whether they agree with it or not.
Examples of questions that will be asked include:
What made you want to subscribe?
What keeps you coming back?
What would make you want to become a paying subscriber?
Are there things which were published for free that you would’ve paid for if it were exclusive?
Along with some other questions about some ideas I have for the future.
The point of it being a survey obviously being that you don’t have to put in the comments for anyone to see and criticize.
Or if you want to, feel free to comment and have that happen.
A few. Of course. But the results will be seriously skewed.
Think about this for a moment.
All of the people who would say “no “…
Aren’t going to respond.
You’re going to get skewed results.
