Well the games have had more time to tell stories than the show at the moment. I'm sure they'll get there eventually with the show. I haven't played the game personally but it does seem interesting given how the show is working.

That is true. Though I would say the pacing for half the season was good, then it was a bit rushed. There were some moments where the action was absolutely necessary to move the story and character development forward. I'm glad they will take time with the second game narrative for season 2 and 3. I highly recommend playing the games. They are like cinematic experiences!

Well this is part of what bothers me about the show a little. There were entire storylines that could've been entire seasons built around them. When Joel is incapacitated (trying to avoid giving spoilers to people) and Ellie is on her own, that could be a whole season.

YES. I absolutely agree. Maybe they had a limited budget, plus limits in what they could do safely during the pandemic, I suppose. So hopefully that can be rectified going forward.

I don't know about that. The film industry has had a lot of restrictions in place despite the rest of the world not having them or having much fewer restrictions. But I think part of it is they don't want to become The Walking Dead which went on forever.

That makes sense. Yes The Walking Dead ran on for way too long. Hope they learn to keep their other spin offs not so long.

Yeah, I gave up on The Walking Dead a couple seasons in because things were the same. But I am going to revisit it in this space mainly because of what's happened due to CoVid.
