This title spoke to me as I am now coming out of the end* of five years transactional and transpersonal therapy. I started this journey in response to a head trauma and the resultant PTSD.

Here are some of the takeaways a 52 year old man has to share:

People are complex - relationships more so.

Healthy and unhealthy relationships are a part of the human condition

Fucking up is part of growing up.

Love is not something we give and take, it is something we enter into

The relationship with yourself is the core of your existence

The core of your existence is an environment that you are a part of and is a part of you.

People are shitty to each other because they are scared, in pain or feel a sense of injustice.

Trauma is a journey

Self knowledge is power

Life is all that matters.

Big love to you all. Good luck with the book Jen. x

*This is not entirely true - the work never stops.

That’s a spectacular summary! All so true, as I’ve learned by the same kind of bitter, wonderful, gut-wrenching and beautiful experiences. There’s no real shortcut to learning life’s lessons, right? Thank you for the comments and I’ll take all the well-wishes I can get ❤️

It is tough enough even with advice to believe in it enough to make a big change. But without it you just have no perspective. Thanks for the great post.

It's amazing how forthcoming people are though when it no longer matters as much! Thanks for commenting :)
